Amy Loo Photography is currently unavailable to do photo sessions until Spring 2013. But I am still able to fill your photo-editing needs. See you next year!

S & J Family | Roosevelt Utah Family Photographer

I'm pretty behind here!  It's about time for a post.  This is Steffanie and Joe's family.  These were their first family portraits ever.  Their family is pretty much hogging all the cuteness.  I loved photographing those little faces and the personality behind them (whether it be happy or otherwise!).

We actually met on two separate days since Baby wasn't feeling it the first day.  I was pretty happy to get more shots of the kids individually and Baby was much happier on day 2.

And I had to add this next one because it's one of my all-time favorites.  He was just done holding his little head up and so that was that.  (I think we pretty much all know how that feels sometimes!)

Like I said, hogging the cuteness.

Beautiful Bokeh | Love that Shot

I really love how the peaches & cream came out on this photo.  The bokeh is definitely more subtle. But it makes her eyes and freckles pop out.

A Bit of Whimsy | Love that Shot Link-up

This was a fun challenge...a post-processing photo challenge as they call it.  The idea is to make a photo look fairytale-like and dreamy--and whatever else makes something look whimsical to ME.

Of course my subject is Lily.  She's whimsy wrapped up in a fair-skinned, green-eyed, strong-willed 5 year old.  And she knows how to work the camera.  It's nearly impossible to direct her, so it's a good thing she has those America's Next Over-the-Top Model instincts.

This is my edit.  I wish I had kept track of the blue-print. But it's late and I played till I was happy...no real strategy involved.  Just Bedazzled it a bit.

And here's the before:

In The Garden | Love that Shot Link-Up

This was not in my garden.  (You might run weeping if you saw my garden.  Heaven help it.)

This is at the Vernal Temple.

Pretty pretty flowers...especially that purdy little Lily right there in the middle.  (Couldn't resist.)

Pretty in Pink | Love that Shot Link-Up

Continuing on with Love that Shot's Birthday Celebration...

Here's my little Pretty with her pink camera.  I was excited to catch her face in her camera's window at the perfect second.  (Simple pleasures, right?)

Fresh | Love That Shot Link-Up

Ever try to grow raspberries? Apparently, it's very hard. Basically, Gurney's sends you sticks in the mail and tells you to plant them and voila!  Magic is supposed to happen.

I tried it two years ago.  I felt a little silly planting sticks.  But I figured they're the pros and know what they're talking about.  Nothing happened.  I wasn't surprised.  The sticks remained planted over the next year.  Still nothing.  Still not surprised.

I decided to give it a whirl again this year.  Again, I received some shiny new sticks in the mail.  Planted them.  Two months later and behold:

They LIVE!

I've since planted my three raspberry sticks in the backyard.  Two of them lost their leaves and I don't have much hope for them.  But this one is determined and is still alive.

Hopefully, within the next ten years, I'll be able to enjoy some fresh raspberries on ice cream.

Mel | Uintah Basin Photographer

Dear Melani,
I love your face.
Love, Amy

I told her she reminded me of a Carpenter's album cover.

Totally does.

Jamo | High School Senior Photographer | Roosevelt, Utah

Here's a good lookin' kid!  He was basically a breeze to shoot...like most teenagers.  I think shooting Seniors is going to be a favorite of mine.  It seems they just know how to be photographed and what to do.

And I was also happy that I got a chance to design a grad announcement for him!  (Name blotted out for obvious reasons.)
